Overview

Product Summary

Grade 3 Protection. 128 Zone Capacity. Dual-Path Communication That Cannot Be Cut. EN 50131 ATS D4.

An alarm panel is only as reliable as its communication path to the alarm receiving centre (ARC). A single-path communicator — telephone line or single GSM — can be defeated by cutting the telephone cable or generating local GSM interference. The IP/GSM dual-path communicator transmits alarm events simultaneously over two independent communication paths: broadband IP and cellular GSM. Both paths must be simultaneously disrupted to prevent alarm receipt at the monitoring centre — a scenario that is practically impossible for a commercially operating intruder to engineer.

SSAL designs, supplies, and installs commercial alarm panels with dual-path communicators as the standard configuration for all Grade 3 alarm systems serving bank branches, commercial premises, government facilities, and high-value commercial properties across Bangladesh.

Key Features

  • 32 Hardwired Zones (Expandable to 128): 32 zones accommodate a full medium-sized commercial premises; expandable to 128 zones via alarm bus modules without replacing the main panel — protects the investment in the control equipment during future building expansions
  • Wireless Expansion Module (Optional): Wireless receiver module adds 868MHz wireless device capability to the hardwired panel — enabling hybrid wired/wireless installations that combine the reliability of hardwired with the flexibility of wireless in hard-to-cable areas
  • IP/GSM Dual-Path Communication: Alarm events transmitted simultaneously over Ethernet (broadband IP) and GSM cellular — ATS Category D4 rating confirms that this dual-path configuration meets the highest commercial monitoring standard, requiring both paths to be simultaneously defeated to suppress alarm transmission
  • Contact ID + SIA DC-09 Protocols: Industry-standard alarm transmission protocols ensure compatibility with any alarm receiving centre (ARC) in Bangladesh and internationally — no proprietary protocol dependency
  • EN 50131 Grade 3 Certified: The appropriate grade for commercial, industrial, and high-risk premises; Grade 3 certification requires higher tamper resistance, enhanced power supply specifications, and more stringent communication monitoring than Grade 2
  • 12V 17Ah Integral Battery Backup: Large-capacity integrated battery maintains panel operation for a minimum of 24 hours in standby mode and 30 minutes in full alarm condition during mains power failure — exceeds the EN 50131 Grade 3 power supply requirement
  • 100 User Codes: Supports 100 independent user PIN codes with configurable access levels — master user, general user, guard patrol code, and duress code (silent alarm activation under coercion)
  • 4,000-Event Log: Internal event memory stores 4,000 timestamped events with user ID and zone identification — exportable for audit trail and incident investigation
  • 4 Programmable Relay Outputs: Relay outputs drive external sirens, strobe beacons, access control inputs, BMS alerts, and PA system triggers — fully programmable for cause-and-effect logic
  • LCD Keypad: Backlit alphanumeric LCD keypad for user arming/disarming, zone bypass, and fault status review — plain-language zone labels instead of zone numbers reduce user error
  • Zone Doubling / End-of-Line Resistors: Supports single EOL, double EOL, and zone doubling wiring configurations — compatible with the widest range of detector wiring in existing and new installations
  • Anti-Tamper Enclosure: Graded steel enclosure with door tamper switch and line cut tamper input; mounting hole tamper detection — meets Grade 3 tamper resistance requirements

Typical Applications

  • Bank Branch — Full Perimeter and Interior Protection: 32 zones covers complete branch intrusion detection; IP/GSM dual-path communicates to both the bank's own monitoring centre and the SSAL AMC monitoring service simultaneously; Grade 3 and ATS D4 satisfy Bangladesh Bank ICT Guideline v4.0 security system requirements
  • Commercial Office Building — After-Hours Protection: Expandability to 128 zones accommodates full multi-floor office building with zone-per-floor architecture; 100 user codes supports building management, tenant security managers, and cleaning contractor access schedules
  • Government Ministry — Secure Zone Alarm: Grade 3 panel with ATS D4 communication meets government security specification for classified area intrusion alarm systems
  • Pharmaceutical Warehouse: 24-hour standby battery maintains protection during routine power cuts common in industrial areas; dual-path communication ensures alarm receipt even when both the LAN and cellular networks are separately degraded
  • Industrial Facility — Multi-Zone After-Hours: 128-zone expandability accommodates large factory footprint; cause-and-effect relay outputs trigger PA evacuation tone and external siren simultaneously on alarm activation
  • Retail Chain — Centralised Monitoring: Multiple panels across retail branches report to a single SSAL monitoring centre via IP communication — central management of alarm status, event log, and user codes across all branches from one management platform

Compatibility & Integration

The alarm panel integrates with all standard alarm system peripherals via hardwired zone inputs. Relay outputs connect to access control systems (fail-safe door release on alarm), fire alarm panels (cross-zoning), PA systems (evacuation tone trigger), and BMS (fault alert). Remote management software provides alarm panel configuration, event log download, and zone programming without on-site engineer attendance — SSAL uses this for remote panel management under AMC agreements.

SSAL Supply & Support

Smart Safety & Automations Ltd. designs, supplies, and installs commercial alarm systems with EN 50131 Grade 3 panels and dual-path communicators as the standard configuration for all medium-to-high-risk commercial deployments. SSAL programs all panels with zone labels, user codes, ARC communication paths, and cause-and-effect logic as part of system commissioning. System acceptance documentation includes a complete zone schedule, user code register, and ARC connection test certificate. Annual Maintenance Contracts include full system functional test, battery load test, communication path test to ARC, and event log review.
