Fire Safety System
Addressable/conventional alarms, sprinklers, clean-agent suppression
Overview
What we offer
A complete toolkit — purpose-built for your environment.
A fire safety system is the complete ecosystem of detection, alarm, suppression, and evacuation equipment that protects lives and property from fire. It begins with detection — identifying the earliest signs of combustion, whether that is smoke particles at sub-visible concentrations, elevated heat, or a combination of both. It progresses to alarm — alerting occupants through sounders, strobes, and voice evacuation messages. For certain environments, it extends to suppression — automatically applying the right extinguishing agent to the right hazard before the fire grows beyond control.
Bangladesh's fire safety regulatory environment is clear and demanding. BNBC 2020 Part 4 specifies fire safety requirements for all buildings above a defined occupancy threshold, including mandatory fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional occupancies. The Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) issues No Objection Certificates (NOC) for buildings based on inspection of installed fire systems — and no building can legally obtain its RAJUK occupancy certificate without FSCD approval. NFPA standards — particularly NFPA 72 (fire alarm), NFPA 13 (sprinkler), and NFPA 2001 (clean agent suppression) — are widely referenced by FSCD inspectors and international buyers conducting factory compliance audits.
In a country that has seen devastating industrial fires, fire safety is not a regulatory checkbox — it is a moral obligation and a business continuity imperative. We have designed and installed fire systems in garment factories that have passed RSC and Accord audits, hospitals that meet Joint Commission International standards, and data centres that protect irreplaceable equipment with FM-200 systems. Every system we deliver is engineered by qualified fire safety engineers, installed by trained technicians, and commissioned with the FSCD NOC documentation package your project requires.

Brochure summary — Gas Suppression: SSAL delivers advanced gas-based fire suppression solutions using clean agents and inert gases. From design and supply to installation, testing and commissioning, we protect mission-critical assets across data centers, telecom, sub-stations, museum vaults and archives to minimise equipment damage and operational downtime.
Addressable Fire Alarm System
Addressable fire alarm control panels (FACP) identify each detector individually by loop address — pinpointing the exact fire location on the panel display and in the building fire plan. Loop card expansion supports up to 250 devices per loop and thousands of devices per panel, suitable for any building size.
Multi-Sensor Detector Technology
Optical smoke, rate-of-rise heat, fixed temperature heat, multi-criteria (optical + heat + CO) detectors, and beam detectors for large open spaces. Multi-sensor detectors significantly reduce false alarms in kitchens, dusty industrial environments, and areas with cooking fumes — a critical benefit for operational continuity.
Aspirating Smoke Detection (VESDA/ICAM)
Xtralis VESDA and ICAM aspirating smoke detection systems detect smoke at concentrations 1,000 times lower than conventional point detectors — giving up to 30 minutes of pre-alarm warning before a smouldering fire becomes a flaming fire. Essential for data centres, server rooms, clean rooms, and telecommunications equipment rooms.
FM-200 & Novec 1230 Clean Agent Suppression
Electrically non-conductive, non-damaging suppression agents extinguish fires in server rooms, data centres, control rooms, and archive rooms without wetting or corroding equipment. FM-200 and Novec 1230 systems discharge in under 10 seconds, suppressing fires before damage occurs. Designed to NFPA 2001 with agent quantity calculations verified by our fire engineers.
Water Mist Sprinkler Systems
High-pressure water mist provides effective fire suppression with up to 90% less water than conventional sprinklers — critical in data centres, museums, and heritage buildings where water damage is a significant concern alongside fire damage. Low-pressure wet pipe and dry pipe sprinkler systems for conventional occupancies designed to NFPA 13.
Process
How it works
One accountable team from first site visit to handover — certified engineers, manufacturer-trained installers, and documented compliance at every stage.
Fire Risk Assessment & Code Analysis
Our fire safety engineers conduct a structured fire risk assessment of your premises: occupancy classification, occupant load, fire compartment boundaries, escape route lengths, and existing suppression provisions. We cross-reference findings against BNBC 2020 Part 4, the relevant NFPA standards, and any buyer or tenant code requirements. The result is a compliance gap analysis that drives the system design scope.
System Design & FSCD Submission
We produce a full design drawing set in AutoCAD: fire alarm panel location, detector coverage layouts, sounder/strobe placement, sprinkler head layouts (hydraulically calculated to NFPA 13), suppression system cylinder sizing, emergency lighting coverage, and hydrant/hose reel locations. The design package is prepared to FSCD NOC submission format — covering system specifications, product data sheets, and engineering calculations. We manage the FSCD submission on your behalf.
Supply & Procurement
All fire safety equipment is sourced from authorised distributors with Bangladesh FSCD-accepted brand approvals. Honeywell, Bosch, Simplex, Siemens, Xtralis, and Naffco products arrive with manufacturer certificates of conformity, UL/FM listings (where applicable), and country-of-origin documentation. We do not use non-approved substitutes — FSCD inspectors verify product identity during on-site inspection.
Installation
Our FSCD-registered installation teams carry out all mechanical and electrical installation: fire alarm cabling (2-core and 4-core fire-rated cable to BS 6387/IEC 60331 standard), detector base mounting, conduit and cable tray installation through fire-stopped penetrations, sprinkler pipework (schedule 40 black steel, grooved or threaded joints), cylinder room construction for suppression systems, and emergency lighting fixture mounting.
Commissioning & Testing
We conduct a full system commissioning test: smoke testing every detector, activating every manual call point, verifying sounder and strobe operation in every zone, testing fire panel fault and alarm relay outputs, activating sprinkler flow switches, and testing suppression system abort sequences. We complete a punch list of all deficiencies identified during commissioning and resolve them before FSCD inspection.
FSCD Inspection Support & Handover
We accompany the FSCD inspection team, demonstrate system operation, and provide all supporting documentation. Upon successful inspection, we assist with the NOC application. You receive as-built drawings, commissioning test records, product certificates, the maintenance schedule, and system operating manuals. Training is provided for your fire warden team on panel operation, alarm response, and monthly testing procedures.

Applications
Built for every industry
Where this solution is deployed — and the compliance environment each sector brings with it.

Garment & Textile Factories (RMG)
Fire safety in Bangladesh's RMG sector is a matter of national importance and international commercial obligation. We design factories to satisfy RSC, Accord, and BGMEA structural fire safety requirements: complete sprinkler coverage on all production floors, addressable fire alarm with manual call points at all exits, emergency lighting on all escape routes, and fire hydrant systems accessible to FSCD vehicles. Our documentation package is designed to pass international buyer audits.
Banking & Financial Services
Bank server rooms, vault areas, and data centres require VESDA aspirating detection for earliest-possible warning and FM-200 clean agent suppression to protect electronic equipment without causing water damage. Branch banking halls and office floors require standard addressable fire alarm with voice evacuation — satisfying Bangladesh Bank ICT guideline requirements for business continuity planning.

Hospitals & Healthcare
Hospital fire safety is complex: simultaneous evacuation is not always appropriate for patients in ICUs, operating theatres, or neonatal units. We design defend-in-place fire strategies with zoned voice evacuation, automatic door closers, fire-rated compartment boundaries, and VESDA in medical gas storage and electrical equipment rooms — aligned with NFPA 99 healthcare facility requirements.
Data Centres & Server Rooms
Data centre fire safety requires the earliest possible detection (VESDA), the fastest possible suppression without equipment damage (FM-200 or Novec 1230), and absolute reliability. We design systems that comply with TIA-942 fire protection requirements and the growing requirements of Bangladesh's data localisation regulations.

Commercial Buildings & Shopping Malls
BNBC 2020 Part 4 mandates addressable fire alarm, sprinkler coverage, emergency lighting, and fire hydrant systems in all commercial buildings above defined thresholds. We design and install compliant systems for office towers, shopping malls, and mixed-use developments — managing the FSCD NOC process from initial submission to final approval.
Educational Institutions
Schools and universities have high occupant loads, many of whom are children or young adults unfamiliar with emergency procedures. We specify voice evacuation systems with clear, language-appropriate evacuation instructions, combined with high-visibility emergency lighting and easy-to-use manual call points positioned at all exits.

Museums, Archives & Sub-stations (Brochure addition)
Clean agent and inert gas suppression protects irreplaceable assets and mission-critical infrastructure where water or foam would cause as much damage as the fire itself — including museum vaults, archive storage and electrical substations.
