The door/window contact sensor is the most fundamental component of any intrusion alarm system — it detects when a protected opening is breached. The wireless variant eliminates the most time-consuming and disruptive part of alarm system installation: running concealed wiring through finished walls, door frames, and window reveals in occupied buildings. A wireless contact sensor is installed in minutes on any door or window frame using adhesive mounting or two screws — no drilling through walls, no chasing, no cable.

SSAL deploys wireless door and window contact sensors in new alarm system installations where a clean, rapid installation is required, and in upgrades to existing buildings where wiring new cable runs is impractical or cost-prohibitive. The 868MHz frequency band provides superior building penetration and lower interference compared to 433MHz, and the AES-128 encryption prevents the signal jamming and replay attacks that compromise lower-grade wireless systems.

Compatibility & Integration

Wireless door/window contact sensors integrate natively with Ajax Hub and Hub 2 systems — providing two-way encrypted communication with signal strength reporting and tamper status in the Ajax app. Bosch and Honeywell compatibility is achieved via RFID wireless receiver modules that present the wireless sensor signals as standard hardwired zone inputs to the alarm panel. SSAL selects the appropriate compatibility path based on the existing or specified alarm panel at each site.
