Traditional surveillance designs require three to four cameras to cover a large open area such as a banking hall, retail floor, or hospital waiting room — introducing multiple cable runs, mounting points, and recording channels. The 12MP fisheye camera replaces this with a single unit: one cable, one recording channel, and complete 360-degree situational awareness from ceiling-centre to the outermost walls.

SSAL supplies 12MP fisheye network cameras delivering 12 megapixels of panoramic resolution and on-device digital dewarping — presenting security operators with a natural, distortion-corrected view rather than the curved fisheye image familiar from consumer optics. Multiple display modes including panorama, PTZ, and quad view adapt the single fisheye stream to any monitoring workflow.

Compatibility & Integration

12MP fisheye cameras are ONVIF Profile S/G/T compliant and integrate with Hikvision iVMS-4200, Dahua DSS/PSS, Genetec Security Center, and Milestone XProtect. Dewarping is performed either on-camera (hardware dewarping) or within the VMS software — SSAL recommends VMS-side dewarping for maximum flexibility in view layout configuration. E-PTZ functionality within the dewarped view requires VMS support; all major platforms listed above provide this capability.

Smart Safety & Automations Ltd. includes fisheye camera planning as part of comprehensive camera coverage design, calculating optimal mounting height and position to maximise coverage radius and floor-level resolution for the specific facility. SSAL provides NVR/VMS configuration for dewarping profiles and e-PTZ presets as part of standard commissioning. Annual Maintenance Contracts include image quality checks and lens cleaning as scheduled preventive maintenance items.
