Overview

Product Summary

See Who's at the Door from Any Phone in the Building. SIP Integration. One Cable.

The IP video door intercom replaces the proprietary 2-wire door station with a standards-based SIP device that calls any IP phone, smartphone app, or SIP softphone in the building — or in the world. When a visitor presses the call button, the door station calls the configured SIP extension; the recipient sees the visitor's face on their IP phone's colour screen (or on their smartphone via the intercom app); and with a single button press, releases the door lock. No proprietary controller, no separate video monitor, no expensive additional hardware.

SSAL deploys IP video door intercoms at building entrances, apartment lobby doors, office floor reception points, and vehicle gate intercom columns — integrating with IP PBX systems and access control management software for a seamless, unified visitor management experience.

Key Features

  • 2MP Wide-Angle Camera (120° FOV): 2MP (1080p) full-HD camera with 120-degree horizontal field of view captures the visitor's face clearly even at close approach distances, and covers the full width of the door approach without visible distortion
  • H.265/H.264 Video, 1080p at 25fps: H.265 compression delivers full-HD video quality to the receiving IP phone or mobile app with minimal bandwidth consumption — enables remote video door answering from a 4G mobile connection without video quality compromise
  • Two-Way Audio with Echo Cancellation: Full-duplex audio communication with acoustic echo cancellation — the visitor hears the recipient clearly without the feedback and echo problems that plague basic intercom systems in hard-walled entrance lobbies
  • SIP Protocol (Calls Standard IP Phone): The door station registers to an IP PBX as a standard SIP extension — calls any IP phone or smartphone in the organisation using the existing telephony infrastructure; no additional intercom server or proprietary controller required
  • Night Vision IR LEDs (Effective 2m): Integrated near-infrared LEDs provide face-level illumination of a visitor standing at the door in complete darkness — the IR is invisible to the visitor but enables clear facial capture on the camera sensor
  • PoE (802.3af) Powered: Single Cat6 cable from the nearest PoE switch provides both power and data/communication — no separate mains power supply or electrician required at the door station mounting position
  • Door Release Relay (1× Dry Contact): Integrated dry-contact relay directly drives an electric door strike or electromagnetic lock — the door station can release the door lock locally without requiring an additional access control controller for simple single-door installations
  • Optional RFID Card Reader Module: Optional integrated RFID module (13.56MHz) allows authorised users to open the door with a card or fob without calling the operator — combining intercom and access control capability in a single unit
  • IP65 Weatherproof: Protected against dust and rain — suitable for external mounting at building entrance doors, car park pedestrian gates, and covered outdoor locations
  • Vandal-Resistant Stainless Steel Housing: Solid stainless steel 316L front face with anti-tamper screw fixings — resists physical attack and maintains appearance in high-traffic entrance environments
  • Surface and Flush Mount Options: Surface mount box (supplied) for straightforward installation on any flat surface; flush mount version installs within a standard wall back-box for a clean, recessed appearance in premium entrance environments

Typical Applications

  • Corporate Office Floor Reception: Visitor calls the receptionist directly from the door station — receptionist sees the visitor on their Yealink or Grandstream IP phone screen, speaks with them, and releases the door remotely from the phone; no dedicated security guard required at the reception door
  • Bank Branch Staff Entrance: Staff without access card use the intercom to request access during off-hours; security officer in the control room sees the staff member's face on the VMS and releases the door from the access control management software
  • Apartment Building Main Entrance Lobby: Floor-level intercom calls individual apartment IP phone or resident's mobile app via SIP; resident views visitor on phone screen and releases lobby door with a button press — works over 4G from anywhere in Bangladesh
  • Hospital Ward Entry: Visitor calls ward reception for controlled ward access; nursing staff screen visitors via video before door release — particularly important for ICU, neonatal, and psychiatric ward access points
  • Villa and Residential Compound Gate: Installed at the compound pedestrian gate; resident answers on mobile app (with push notification) from anywhere — sees visitor's face and releases gate remotely
  • Industrial Site Personnel Gate: Workers request access after hours at the personnel gate; security control room officer verifies identity via video before releasing the gate — integrated with access control log for audit trail

Compatibility & Integration

IP video door intercoms register to any SIP-compatible IP PBX — tested by SSAL with Yealink T46U and T57W series IP phones (colour video display for video call), Grandstream GXV3480 series (video IP phone), and the IP PBX mobile app (iOS/Android). Door release relay integrates with electric door strikes and electromagnetic locks from all standard suppliers. ONVIF Profile S video stream allows integration with the IP surveillance NVR for door camera recording — the visitor's face is recorded by the NVR simultaneously with the door intercom call event.

SSAL Supply & Support

Smart Safety & Automations Ltd. supplies, installs, and configures IP video door intercoms as part of unified communications or access control projects. SSAL registers the door station to the client's IP PBX, configures the call routing to the correct extension(s), tests the door release relay integration, and configures video call quality parameters for the available network bandwidth. Annual Maintenance Contracts include camera lens cleaning, door release relay functional test, and SIP registration health monitoring.
