Overview

Product Summary

Every Pixel Calibrated. 3,840Hz Flicker-Free. Hot-Swap in 90 Seconds. Control Room Ready.

The security operations centre, utility control room, or executive briefing centre needs a video wall that is always on, always consistent, and always ready. Not almost ready — always ready. A LED video wall with hot-swap modules means a failing module is replaced in 90 seconds from the front without tools, without a shutdown, and without interrupting the live data feeds on the remaining 99% of the display surface. Factory pixel-by-pixel calibration means every module in a 20m² wall displays identical brightness and colour from day one to year five.

SSAL designs and installs LED video wall systems for security operations centres, network operations centres, government command centres, and corporate executive briefing rooms — where the display wall is operational infrastructure, not presentation equipment.

Key Features

  • P2.5mm Pixel Pitch — Control Room Optimised: 2.5mm pixel pitch delivers sharp, detailed imagery at viewing distances from 3m — the typical minimum viewing distance in a security operations centre or utility control room; text and map detail is legible without observer movement to read specific data
  • SMD 2121 Black Face LED Technology: Surface-mounted SMD 2121 LEDs with black resin coating between the LED emitters dramatically reduce the panel's ambient light reflectance — maintaining 5,000:1 contrast in environments with overhead fluorescent or LED lighting that would wash out conventional LED panels
  • 600 Nits Calibrated Brightness: 600 nits measured after factory calibration — sufficient for comfortable viewing under standard control room ambient lighting conditions (typically 300–500 lux) without eye fatigue during extended operator shifts; below the threshold of discomfort for operations staff working 12-hour monitoring shifts
  • 3,840Hz Refresh Rate — Zero Scan Lines: The 3,840Hz electrical refresh rate produces a display that is completely stable in photographic and video recording — no rolling scan lines visible in CCTV footage of the video wall or in broadcast-quality recording of command centre operations
  • 5,000:1 Contrast Ratio: Black face SMD technology achieves 5,000:1 measured contrast ratio in a 500-lux ambient room — maps, satellite imagery, and dark-background security video content retain full detail in shadow areas
  • Factory Individual Pixel Calibration: Every LED module undergoes individual pixel brightness and colour calibration before shipment — calibration data is stored in the module controller, enabling automatic matching of any replacement module to the installed wall's calibration profile within ±3% brightness uniformity
  • Hot-Swap Module Design: Any individual 400mm×400mm module can be removed from the front face and replaced without tools, without access to the rear of the wall, and without interrupting video display on adjacent modules — field mean time to replace (MTTR) under 90 seconds
  • 400×400mm Module / 800×800mm Cabinet: Standard 400mm×400mm module provides 160×160 pixel resolution per module; two modules assemble into an 800×800mm cabinet with 320×320 pixels — cabinet-based assembly enables fast installation of large wall areas
  • Power Efficiency: 200W max / 70W avg per m²: Low average power consumption (70W/m²) reduces electricity cost for continuously-operated control room displays; 200W/m² peak maximum enables full-brightness display of bright content without thermal shutdown
  • Viewing Angle 160°H / 160°V: Wide viewing angle ensures consistent colour and brightness are maintained for operators seated at workstations positioned at the side of the display wall — no colour shift or brightness reduction at off-axis viewing positions
  • IP31 Front Protection: Front face rated IP31 — provides basic protection against ingress of dust and dripping water; suitable for indoor control room environments; rear components require standard indoor protection (HVAC-controlled room)

Typical Applications

  • Security Operations Centre (SOC): Multi-camera live view, map overlays, and analytics dashboards displayed simultaneously on a wall sized from 4m×2m (entry SOC) to 16m×3m (enterprise SOC); hot-swap ensures 24/7 continuous operation without maintenance windows
  • Network Operations Centre (NOC): Network topology maps, performance dashboards, and alarm lists displayed across a large format wall for the on-shift NOC team; 3,840Hz refresh eliminates scan lines in broadcast footage of NOC operations used for client confidence videos
  • Government Emergency Coordination Centre: Real-time situation maps, video feeds from field cameras, and communications monitoring displayed to the coordination team during disaster response and planned security events
  • Utility Control Room — Power and Water: SCADA displays, alarm panels, and grid topology diagrams requiring 24/7 operational display; hot-swap module replacement is performed during the operating shift without production impact
  • Corporate Executive Briefing Room: Large-format 4K+ display wall for executive presentations, investor relations events, and product launches; P2.5mm pixel pitch enables legibility of detailed financial data at the 4–6m viewing distances typical of boardroom-adjacent briefing suites
  • Airport Operations Centre: Air traffic status boards, weather displays, ground operations camera feeds, and passenger information management on a continuous-operation display wall staffed around the clock

Compatibility & Integration

LED video wall modules are driven by a compatible LED video wall controller (supplied by SSAL as part of the complete system) — the controller receives HDMI, DVI, or DisplayPort signals from source systems (NVR, VMS, SCADA, BMS, web browsers) and maps the content across the full LED wall canvas. SSAL integrates video wall controllers with Crestron and Extron AV control systems for operator-controlled content layout management — operators drag video sources between positions on the wall from a touch panel without requiring IT support.

SSAL Supply & Support

Smart Safety & Automations Ltd. designs LED video wall systems from pixel pitch selection (based on viewing distance and content type), wall size and resolution planning, controller signal architecture, structural support design, power distribution, and cable management. SSAL provides factory-calibrated module sets, complete installation and commissioning, and operator training on content management. Annual Maintenance Contracts include pixel brightness measurement, hot-swap module inventory management (replacement modules held on site), and preventive cleaning of the LED surface.
