Unified Communication System

IP PBX, VoIP, video conferencing, two-way radio

Overview

What we offer

A complete toolkit — purpose-built for your environment.

A Unified Communication (UC) system integrates all the ways your people communicate — voice calls, video meetings, instant messaging, paging, intercom, and two-way radio — into a single, managed platform. Instead of paying for a legacy PSTN PBX on one floor, separate mobile phones for field workers, a standalone intercom system at the entrance, and an audio conferencing bridge for head-office meetings, you manage everything from one interface. Calls follow users to any device. Video meetings start with one click. Field radios connect to the IP network. Reception intercoms ring directly to mobile apps.

In Bangladesh, the commercial case for unified communications is compelling. Organisations with offices in Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet, and Rajshahi pay substantial monthly telephone bills for PSTN trunk calls between cities. An IP PBX with SIP trunking over a private MPLS network — or even an IPSEC VPN over broadband — replaces those PSTN charges with internal calls at zero incremental cost. A bank with 50 branches can route all inter-branch calls over its existing BRAC Net or Summit Communications MPLS network, eliminating one of its largest recurring operating expenses.

The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) regulates VoIP services in Bangladesh under its VoIP licensing framework. Organisations wishing to terminate external calls over VoIP require either a direct BTRC VoIP licence or a service agreement with a licensed VoIP service provider. We guide our clients through the BTRC compliance requirements as part of every IP PBX deployment, ensuring the system operates within the regulatory framework from day one.

Brochure summary: SSAL enables seamless communication through integrated IP telephony, video conferencing, wireless radio and nurse call systems. These solutions enhance collaboration, ensure real-time connectivity and improve operational efficiency across banks, enterprises, healthcare, hospitality, campuses, and industrial sectors — supporting reliable and uninterrupted communication across all operational environments. International organisations operating in Bangladesh's export processing zones and special economic zones must also comply with BEPZA's communications infrastructure requirements, which we incorporate into our system designs.

On-Premise & Cloud IP PBX

Choose between an on-premise IP PBX for maximum control and data sovereignty — important for Bangladesh Bank-regulated entities — or a cloud-hosted UC platform for rapid deployment and minimal IT overhead. Hybrid architectures combine both, with cloud resilience backing an on-premise primary system.

Inter-City Call Cost Elimination

Route all calls between your Dhaka headquarters, Chattogram branch, and Sylhet office as internal extensions over your existing IP WAN. For a 50-branch bank or a multi-factory group, this delivers direct savings of hundreds of thousands of taka per month in PSTN charges.

HD Video Conferencing

Zoom Rooms and Poly video conferencing systems deliver 4K video and crystal-clear audio in every meeting room. One-touch join from the room touch panel — no PIN, no fumbling with cables. Integrated with your Microsoft Teams or Google Meet tenant for a consistent user experience.

VoIP/SIP Trunking

SIP trunks replace expensive ISDN PRI lines with flexible, scalable voice channels over your broadband connection. Call capacity scales up or down without physical infrastructure changes — ideal for call centres with seasonal demand variation.

DMR Digital Two-Way Radio

Motorola Solutions MOTOTRBO and Hytera DMR radios provide digital voice with 40% better battery life than analog, integrated text messaging, GPS tracking, and emergency call features. Suitable for factory floor supervisors, hospital porters, hotel housekeeping, and security teams operating across large sites.

Process

How it works

One accountable team from first site visit to handover — certified engineers, manufacturer-trained installers, and documented compliance at every stage.

  1. Communication Needs Assessment

We interview department heads, IT teams, and operations managers to map your communication workflows. How many concurrent calls does your call centre handle? How many workers need radio coverage in your factory or warehouse? Which executive meeting rooms need video conferencing? What is your current monthly PSTN spend — and how much of it is inter-office calls that could be eliminated? The output is a quantified communication requirements matrix that drives system sizing.

  2. System Architecture Design

We design the UC architecture: IP PBX platform selection (on-premise or cloud-hosted), SIP trunk configuration, extension numbering plan, hunt group and IVR call flow design, video conferencing room system specifications, radio system frequency planning and repeater placement, and paging zone design. For multi-site deployments, we design the inter-site connectivity architecture and failover routing rules. BTRC VoIP compliance documentation is prepared at this stage.

  3. Supply & Procurement

IP PBX servers, IP desk phones, video conferencing systems, and digital radio equipment are procured through authorised channels. Yealink, Fanvil, Poly, and Avaya desk phones arrive pre-configured for your UC platform. Motorola Solutions and Hytera digital radios arrive with frequency programming completed to BTRC-approved frequencies. Software licences — Zoom Rooms, Avaya Aura, or equivalent — are procured with appropriate user seat counts.

  4. Installation & Configuration

IP PBX servers are installed in your server room or configured in the cloud. SIP trunk connections to your BTRC-licensed provider are established and tested. All IP phones are provisioned using DHCP and TFTP auto-provisioning — no manual configuration per device. Video conferencing room systems are mounted, cabled, and connected to your calendar integration (Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace). Radio repeaters are installed at survey-validated locations. Paging speakers and amplifiers are mounted and zone-configured.

  5. Commissioning & Testing

We conduct end-to-end call testing across all extension types, trunk routes, hunt groups, and IVR trees. Video conferencing rooms are tested for audio, video, and screen sharing quality. Radio coverage is verified with a walk-test across your entire facility. Emergency paging integration with the fire alarm system is tested with the fire alarm commissioning engineer present.

  6. Training & Handover

Your system administrators receive full training on PBX management, user provisioning, and SIP trunk monitoring. End users receive desk phone and video conferencing quick-start training. Radio operators receive DMR digital radio operation training. All configuration documentation, licence keys, and as-built drawings are delivered at handover.

Applications

Built for every industry

Where this solution is deployed — and the compliance environment each sector brings with it.

Deployment site for unified communication system

Banking & Financial Services

Banks with branch networks across Bangladesh pay significant PSTN call charges for inter-branch communication. We deploy IP PBX with SIP trunking over the bank's existing MPLS network, eliminating inter-branch call costs entirely. Branch reception intercoms connect to the head-office switchboard, and security desk phones integrate with the CCTV and access control system for unified incident management.

Hospitals & Healthcare

Hospital communication requires nurse call integration, overhead paging for code alerts, radio communication for porters and security, and video conferencing for telemedicine and administrative meetings. We design a unified UC architecture that ties all these channels together — so a code blue alert simultaneously pages the relevant zone, calls the attending physician's extension, and activates the overhead announcement system.

Garment & Textile Factories (RMG)

Factory floor supervisors, quality managers, and logistics coordinators need instant, reliable communication across noisy production environments where mobile phone use is restricted or impractical. DMR digital radio with floor repeaters provides clear voice communication throughout the factory, integrated with the IP PBX so radio operators can connect to office extensions and external lines.

Hotels & Hospitality

Hotels require a unified communication system that handles guest room phones, housekeeping radio, maintenance radio, reception intercoms, and management video conferencing. We deploy a single UC platform covering all of these needs — reducing vendor complexity and providing a single support contact for communication issues.
